The only title I subscribe to at my LCS is Jim Balent's Tarot Witch of the Black Rose. Now I just focus on omni mostly.

I don't say read everything anyway, just get those ''hidden jewels'' i mean the word of mouth puts the spot light on them, puts them on the map, even if they were hidden jewels at the begining with the big two. Just get the Omnibuses of good runs. I mean i don't follow any monthly issues as well. I just get some Omnibuses and Deluxes here and there.

I don't buy new comics either--except for X-Men, and only in trades, to see how the Krakoa story is going to end. But I'm surprised that some here say they're done collecting Omnis or other collected editions. Maybe I'm just slow in collecting them, but there are so many out there that I'd love to have if I had unlimited money, shelf space and time to read them like:

Black Panther by Christopher Priest Vol. 1&2
Fantastic Four by Stan Lee & Jack Kirby Vol. 1-3
Incredible Hulk by Peter David Vol. 1-4
X-Factor by Peter David Vol. 1-3
The New Teen Titans Omnibus Vol. 1-3
Sandman Omnibus Vol. 1&2
Wonder Woman by George Perez Vol. 1
Absolute Batman: The Dark Knight
Absolute Justice by Alex Ross & Jim Krueger
Absolute V for Vendetta
Big Damn Sin City HC
Monster-Sized Hellboy HC
etc.

Around half of the above titles I've never read at all ever. So, yeah, no way am I finished collecting.

I know this is the Marvel Omnibus thread, but there is a very positive and big word of mouth around Mark Waid & Dan Mora Batman/Superman: World's Finest run. According to word of mouth around the book, they are killing it on Batman/Superman right now. It is the best superhero book on the market by far.

So i can't wait for an Omnibus of Waid&Mora Batman/Superman run. (:

it is a fantastic book and MARK WAID is hitting it home with every issue (his Shazam series is also lightweight and fun). The World's Finest book is a great modern take on DC's Silver Age era. Highly recommended.

I may be in the minority but I read the first arc and found it terribly lacking. I haven?t picked it up since. And I think Mark Waid is one of the best comic book writers EVER.

You’ve got a lot of great collecting ahead of you, then. I’ve got literally hundreds and hundreds of collected trade books, Absolutes, Omnibuses, etc., including nearly all the ones you list. My 1500 sq ft basement library is stacked, highly organized and categorized, and very complete. I’m still looking for more to add but I’m hard pressed after literally decades of buying to put my library together. I think I’m just in a different place in my collecting history than you are.
