Sorry, I meant the other Storm museum pose I had her, and actually sold her off, even though she is my fav storm statue, she just looked so tiny in my Bowen lineup.

She does look tiny compared to the others but seems about right next to the mohawk version. Could be 1/7

You're correct, they're both 5'11".

Cool. One reason I wish I had kept all my guides to the Marvel universe. Wealth of information.

I'm pretty sure Bowen didn't have a scale-based license per se, like most licenses today. He had height requirements, in some instances, which is why the 'scale' can vary on his pieces. It just turns out though that it lead to most pieces falling in the 1/7 scale range.

How big are the magnets? If there are any in my cape at all, they are less than 1/8".
Edit: I guess they are just that small. They sort of work.

The wires in the cape are definitely stronger than the magnets.

After two days of having Storm on display, here are my thoughts. There are pros to this piece and cons. I also need help from others who have this statue in hand because I need to know if I need to ask for an exchange due to faulty engineering/attachment point. Wouldn?t shock me if I?m back to statue roulette?

Pros:
The silver is phenomenal. I am in love with it. Total perfection.
Her face and body are beautifully sculpted and the hairline poses no issues when viewed with the normal human eye.
The base is well done and the dark blue looks nice.
The cape is a nice material.
Overall, Storm commands your eye in this pose and color. Will be a solid stand-out in a team display.

Cons:
Those f**king cape magnets. I can?t get mine to stay no matter what. I have windows open in the house and a breeze came thru and detached it (how ironic) after I took pics. Sideshow screwed the pooch by having them weak. I think it?s the magnet in the wrist that is too weak to hold against the weight of the wire in the cape, so while the magnet in the cape is good the one in the wrist is beyond useless. Good thought with poor execution.

The seam on the attachment point on the base. Jesus it?s bad. Like you think the XM tornado seam is bad (it is), well this ain?t great at all either. Mine has a gap I can fit a paperclip into.

Her hair has A LOT of grey in it. Am I the only one with this issue? It?s not as dark as the XM Storm, but it?s not as white as others I have seen. Maybe photos have been tricking me, so I?m asking. Which is funny bc my photos show her hair more white than it is

I have a scuff on the ankle of mine. Nothing major, just enough for me to sigh.

Now onto my major concern - her attachment point in the base. Does anybody else has a statue that wiggles once keyed in? Or (shock of shocks), did I get a defective piece?

I?ve attached photos. She really is stunning. I hope for everyone Sideshow takes a serious look at the capes and fixes them. It?s so sad and annoying that a beautiful statue is hosed by poor execution on a major accessory. It?s not like you can display Storm without a cape!!

Very sorry you caught all these problems, Demona. Hopefully these cons can be resolved soon.

That said, this comparison shot is awesome!

Both the costume itself and the color on the SS absolutely blow away the costume and color of the XM. I also prefer SS's skin color. XM has the better base and better hairline.
