Watched these over the weekend.

The Whale (2022) - 10/10

Brendan Fraser was Incredible! The rest of the cast was excellent. One of the best movies I have seen.

We Have a Ghost (2023) - 7/10

Started out in more of a comedy direction and switched gears. Very surprising.

A League of Their Own (1992) - Two sisters join the first female professional baseball league and struggle to help it succeed amid their own growing rivalry.

I had wanted to see this movie for a long time which introduces you to the league and the hurdles it faced without getting too heavy. It has a great cast and the classic line, "There's no crying in baseball!" 7/10

Creed 3 - 8.5/10. Good performances all around with a solid directorial debut by Jordan.

Just watched “Top Gun: Maverick” again for the second time since the theater. What a great movie. 10/10 on second viewing.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - 8/10

Finally got around to it, and I quite enjoyed it...easily one of the best Phase 4 offerings.

Wizard, how was John Majors in this film?

I found him more intimidating in Creed 3 than in Ant-Man 3.

I?m worried about seeing this only because others have told me the depiction of Namor is so off from the comic book source material, in that he?s a ruthless killer without the heroism and nobility of his comic book origins (granted, early on in the comics he did try to wipe out NYC with a tidal wave, so he was first depicted as pretty villainous). Still, I?ll see it for myself.

Haha, so there is precedent for his temperament Though I'm not super familiar with the comic version, I thought the Namor character was done well, both visually and motivation-wise. At his core, he wants to fiercely defend his people, which makes sense given his background.

Majors has a brooding intensity that captures your attention, waiting for it to manifest and erupt in other emotional layers from hurt to rage. In comparison, it felt as though Marvel put a regulator on him for his role as Kang.
