I don't have a solution but I admire the problem.

Arrested Development if I had to pick one...though it was cut short. It really had everything I look for in a comedy, and all the characters were funny in their own way.
I could just as easily say Simpsons, Seinfeld, Black Adder, Trailer Park Boys or Mr Bean.
The funniest shows still airing new episodes are Modern Family & American Dad.

Arrested Development is certainly right up there. But, there is one comedy series that caused me to howl everytime I saw it in reruns. Taking the "boob out of place" concept and fine-tuning it into comic genious. A gas station rube thrust into the Viet Nam era U.S. Marines. Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.. His niaveness as going through boot camp and stateside station, was hilarious to me. Overlooked but one of my faves.

Max and Paddys Road to Nowhere or Father Ted. I still laugh out loud over the prison episode in Max & Paddys.

Hmmm... It would have to be a show which made me laugh.
The first few years of the Cosby show were a riot. I also really enjoyed the Carol Burnett show, the Jeffersons, Everybody loves Raymond, and Curb your enthusiasm.

There have been so many great comedy programs on TV over the years, but if you had to pick just one, what would be your top pick.
FUTURAMA!

Springfield's the next town over from us.
Seriously... Matt Groening lives in Springfield, Oregon, and has said a lot of his character and town ideas are based on it.

Early years of the Cosby Show was great. I watched I Love Lucy every so often as a kid, but I'd have to say the comedy show I'll never forget is...
The Benny Hill Show.
