hey i started recently too about a year back and as people say buy what you like first dont go for the rest ,youll soon find out that youll discover charchters that you really like especially if you hang around here.for me it was the death dealer.
i guess if you wanna stay in scale you can start a bowen collection his sculpts are OK.

Ah, don't feel bad, i haven't either. My stuff is under plastic covers mostly, so at least i have a pretty decent excuse.

my advice, hold out and get what you want. If you really want something and pass on it to get something you "like" but aren't crazy about it, you will regret it. If you get into this hobby seriously, you will end up offloading these type of items down the road to get what you really want. Saving for those special pieces are definitely worth it and will make you appreciate your collection all the more.
You are already following my other advice by thinking about how you want to display ... you have a grouping in mind which is also a great idea

Exactly! There really is a learning curve and I appreciate all the advice. When I look at the awesome displays on this forum it’s like an art form in it’s self. I would like to start with a theme and I’m just trying to decide what it should be. Hopefully someday soon I’ll be posting my shelf in the display thread!
