That's right, the AMT kit/diorama. I'm tempted to have a go at one of those.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

To be honest, I don't see 3000$ quality in the Regal version either. You should get a stellar piece for that.
Sideshow one is already expensive, but the RR is ridiculous for what you get.

In his video (at 2:08) side view of RR.
Look at inside of elbow, you can see a big wide seam filled and painted over. Don't like the mouth and teeth either, way too coarse.
Personally I would send it back. Companies hype things up like you get movie prop quality and you not even receive 20% of it..

And also the review of a new customer (Sideshow website below product).

"The Rancor has been one of my favorite Star Wars creatures as long as I can remember. This statue is epic and will reshape how you look at the Rancor.

I wouldn't say it is perfect. He came with a small pinhole in his belly where the... I think fiberglass, didn't fill properly. There are a few spots where flaws weren't sanded or removed prior to painting. But, stand 3 feet away and you are captivated by the realism.

A worthwhile purchase for anyone who is fascinated by the Rancor. Just don't focus on the little things."

You can clearly read he has been let down / expected better overall quality. I feel sorry for him; He should receive a replacement.

Fans really wanted this piece and well received on that front. It's on Waitlist. Star Wars is alive and well. 600 x $1300. Wow.
