The first trade of the free agency period has taken place, as reports are the Jets have reached an agreement in principle with the Chargers to acquire cornerback Antonio Cromartie. The Jets confirmed the deal Thursday night, but didn’t release specifics – although it is believed to include a draft pick in 2011 going to the Chargers.
I like this move a lot!

raiders are going with gradkowski unless russell does something amazing according to raiders sources.
chargers get a 3rd round pick that can go up based on cromartie playing time and jets record

L.T. left the vikings without a contract and in now on his way to visit the jets
F.Y.I if the jets pass then the raiders are the only other team to contact him. i think he will retire if it comes to that

As a Jet fan I wouldn't mind signing LT2. I think he's done as far as being a starting back but I don't think Greene is ready to carry the load alone and Washington is a question mark with the injury. I think the Jets made a mistake by not signing TJ though.
