I still wish they hadn't stuck so close to the source image in terms of the amount of flames, but it turned out really nice.

I get where you're going. The flames could have made this a very corny statue if poorly executed.

My man, there is just so much going on w/ this piece that the promo pictures fail to capture.

They executed the floating skull & pennace stare perfectly...This is one well thought out statue.

I'm seriously considering getting that Ghost Rider piece now. Looks like GG pretty much nailed it. The eyes look great, the flames look like flames and there is some great shading on what could have been just a flat black bike.

Any pics of it with the base lit up rhy?

Is it battery powered only or is there an AC adapter option too?

About what scale does it appear to be in? Any way you could post a pic next to a Bowen piece?

Thanks in advance.

HB,
The light ups require three double a's and it's one helluva show:

The brothers Kale:

I'll give Gentle Giant this, the paint application is mind blowing. I have never seen paint so meticulously applied on a production piece. SS, Bowen, PCS, & Koto take notes this is how it's done.

The bar has definitely been raised. I am offically hooked on Gentle Giant

Everything looks great but the skull and the fire on the skull and bike kills it for me, it looks like melted cheese to me still.

I'm a huge Ghost Rider fan but this isn't hitting the spot for me at all.

Are you actually comparing highly detailed, perfectly sculpted, color accurate hell fire based off of Clayton's art to cheese...lol

Thanks for the extra pics rhy, I think you've sold me on this. I don't have any Ghost Rider statues in my collection and was planning on picking up the Ketch Bowen at some point but its worth a bit more than I'd pay and IMO this piece looks far superior, plus you get his bike.

Funny the flames are one of my favorite aspects of this piece. The use of clear resin to simulate flames has been done to death and unless it has a light illuminating it from behind it doesn't look like fire to me. The fully painted flames on this piece are far more vibrant.
