HoldyourfireAl, when you take pics of your collection without the flash, try setting the white-balance to Tungsten instead of auto. If you're shooting JPEG's you'll get more accurate colors in the scene. Most of that yellow color cast will go away and the white wall will look more 'white', and the rest of the colors in t he scene will look truer. Give it a try both ways and notice the difference, it's amazing!

I did, but I kinda like the "warmth" of the "yellow."

One thing I can't figure out on the XTi is where I can change the f-stop when I'm in manual mode! I can change shutter speed & ISO, but haven't been able to change f-stop!

i keep my camera in AV mode at all times. the "wheel" on top next to the button is where you adjust the f/stops.
