Take the new Adam Hughes Lara Croft statue for example. Just look at it, it's beautifully done and finished, however, when it comes to close to or 1k plus pieces like the AMP, it's another story. Yup, WTF?

You're right my friend, but that's what SS is banking on. Our lowered expectation. And guess what, we are getting used to it, or at least I am(which is bad). Slap you in the face with some FANTASTICALLY weathered and painted master and later on show you some what the REAL LOOK of the what you are getting (we paid how much for that again?). I can totally related to Viper's anger and frustration.
For international collectors, it's a nightmare. You practically have prey to get a good one, and sometime, you are jut out of luck. WTF? Since when that started? It's like we're paying to be worried. Think about the quality of recent released Hot Toys and Enterbay pieces. That's quality! There's absolutely NO excuse about those stupid looking paint job.

those black blobby things are supposed to be weathering? you've got to be kidding me, I can do better weathering than that!
First time I saw them I thought they were supposed to be some kind of strange nose art equivalent. Pass on this and put the money into buying QMX's Serenity piece.

Just set mine up. A small piece came broke off. Pics will up later.
First impression, it has some fitting and other issues and overall, not satisfied. Paint job is as usual, not so good. Going for a replacement.
Notice the windshield wiper is crooked?

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Damn, sorry to hear that thx, you're not having much luck with these high-ticket Sideshow pieces after the 1/2 scale Iron Man and now this. This is the second AMP suit I've heard of turning up with breakages now. Not good enough Sideshow!
What was your impression of the black paint marks used to represent weathering? (It doesn't look quite so bad in those pics so far.)
Must admit I'm thinking very much of canceling this one now.

I don't know what to say about the damage, really. The thing was packed VERY WELL, that little piece(took me a while to figure out where it should be, turns out to be on the shoulder, where it holds the bullet belt) may have be damaged during boxing.
As for the black paint mark, it doesn't look as bad as the ones we've seen.
