When I saw link to this new PF in the spawn 1/4 thread, I immediately loved the overall design. Yes the extra wrinkles on the floor are a bit to much.
But like the sinister vibe combined with old style.

Well it’s not the best Batman at that scale but it has its place. I preordered him. He just looks like he pairs so well with the latest Catwoman PF

When you put them side by side this one does go up a couple points for me. I still wish they did his utility belt justice. Hopefully the paint job doesn't disappoint.

I know those are 3 different poses but the thought process behind them seems so similar. Basic standing/perching pose, lift a leg on gargoyle (or grave), hold his fists out.

Meanwhile the bust gets an action pose in mid throw!?! Doesn’t even have legs and it’s a more ambitious pose. They play extremely safe on 1/4 Batman poses but then make interesting decisions with the details...capes, chaps, teeth and hunchbacks.

They went a different direction with the Batman Beyond PF and it paid off because it's a better statue than any of those Batman PFs.

I totally forgot they made a Batman Beyond PF.

I'm usually trigger-happy when it comes to hitting the Preorder Button on Batman related paraphernalia

Anyways, I might part with two of those four.

The ones I'd keep in my collection would be the original Exclusive Edition "Holy Trinity" Batman with bat-a-rang & this new one. Nightmare / Sweet Dreams Batman is what I shall call it from now on.

I didn’t forget because I’m getting Batman Beyond lol. I guess since it’s Terry and not Bruce they tried something different, thankfully.

I’m keeping my OG Batman. I have XM Samurai and I’m getting Batman Beyond. Eventually I’m getting this new PF. I have my criticisms of it but I still like it overall. Might even get Bat chaps down the line, just like the OG PF I’m sure it’s value will be easy on the aftermarket. I’m glad I’ll have a variety of 1/4 Batmen in different styles/versions unlike my boy Spidey who I have like 6 or so of in the same Basic costume in the same scale. Batman at least has options.
