I'm keeping mine. One day when I actually have the room to display my Huntress collection I think the other statues will draw attention away from her flaws lol.

Yes, the pre-attached cape is a real nuisance and the only thing I disliked on my Huntress.

So, either statue, the cape is a problem.

One advantage I had coming into this hobby so recently is that it forced me to buy used pieces on ebay. Which means I can see exactly what my statue looks like, warts and all, before purchasing. Pre-ordering a statue is terrifying in a way that pre-ordering Hot Toys never was. Generally speaking, what you saw in the pre-order solicitation with Hot Toys is what you got when it came in the mail. (And breakage was essentially non-existent.) Statues are the wild west in comparison, with mediocre paint jobs, outright awful paint jobs, pieces that don't fit correctly, lean issues, breakage...so buying used pieces on ebay is actually something of a relief. One great thing about Sideshow--and it's a major reason I was willing to even get back into statue collecting at all--is that they're willing to accept returns even over seemingly small aesthetic issues. They might not give you an exchange but you can at least get your money back.

True but SSC sent out new capes so as long as you get a new one, I would still get it. Just my opinion though.

The replacement cape I got on the old one was starting to bleed on mine. I quickly sold it at that point.
Hopefully the new one doesn't have that problem, purple is problematic. I am still on the fence about this piece, but after the mask fiasco, think that's the final nail for me.
Funny thing, the first ever 'statue' I bought was the Huntress bishoujo a decade or so ago. Still have it.
