Sideshow Con 2021 (the year of the rehash)

I'm maybe in the minority but this con was a big let down.

I'm not even talking the slow roll for a full week, there's just literally nothing they've shown so far that I'm all that interested in. I love the Avenger PFs but not going to collect another line and doom really didn't do anything for me. I will say, assuming they fix the hairline on Storm, that WILL be a buy but nothing else I was hoping for was displayed. Still maybe time to see a MM? Nightcrawler? Rogues they haven't done? Maybe wishful thinking but that would spin this around for me personally. Instead, we will probably get a new Wonder woman and another poison ivy.

On the flipside, money saved!

Agreed, money saved, but I’m more encouraged than disappointed because they are showing so much new product, even if it’s not pieces I need or am interested in.

I am assuming Power Girl might be shown, even although the piece has been up for pre_order for some time.

That's a fair take and I half agree, my only complaint in this regard is not showing any of their personal lines people have been waiting AGES for.... I don't have a horse in this race but I've seen so many wanting CotD, or fairy tales or w/e but Nada...

That said, you are right, it's nice to see they are showing a lot of new products. If your a venom/carnage or Avengers fan, for example, you probably were pretty pleased this week.

Batwoman next. She might be the only female Bat-character that hasn’t been rehashed, at least that I can think of off the top of my head.

I still think Nightwing is a must. He has close to 300 issues in his name Nightwing / Grayson. Has had an almost constant title for well over 20 years.

Another is Red Hood, consistently a lead character in his own book since 2011. His name is not currently on the cover but he's featured in the cover art consistently of two current on going Gotham books.

So if Sideshow steps away from boobs, I think these are unfortunately safe bets over non-Bat characters ie: Shazam, Martian Manhunter, Hawkman (non of which can hold a constant title)

IMO, hope I'm wrong!
