Amazed they used a picture of a poorly painted statue to gain interest. The purple around the eyes, as others have mentioned, looks sloppy. If the in house painter cannot get it right how do we expect the assembly line painters to do better? LOL

Agreed. What is kind of frustrating, as well, is that they seem to half-ass certain pieces that are less popular (example Cheetah or this Catwoman piece), but pieces like Apocalypse get their full attention. I understand there are levels of popularity for these characters (and money talks), but wouldn't you want to put your best effort forward on every piece and not just certain pieces?

The sloppy paint around the mask REALLY bothers me.

This is supposed to be a teaser/prototype, why would you show it off like that? How many are going to get sloppy paint in hand? Gives me zero confidence to order this, given the price point that'll likely be attached.

Very low effort IMO, otherwise I think the portrait is pretty nice.

I feel like maybe they overcompensated for the flesh paint sloppiness we've seen from them lately.

And to me this totally looks like a factory paint job. This can't be a proto.

AND... if this is 1/4, I'm terrified about what it'll be like on the 1/6 version.

I just don't get this paint job. I really want to know if this is factory or proto.

Sculpt looks great, paint looks bad

Hopefully the pic is of the 1/6 instead of the 1/4
