I guess it's good that everyone forgets 200X so that it retains its identity.
This show already looks like a product of its time. If they stick to simple shounen type of stories as its predecessors, and not go beyond that, it may be alright.

I enjoyed the 2000s He Man and Thundercats, but I'm fine with the 2020s evoking more 1980s aesthetics. Far better than what I got with Thundercats...
