I like that they went mixed media for the cape. Paint apps for the suit looks REALLY good. Curious to see the base.

I have to wait to see how the base looks. But With just the sculpt of the body/portrait (best storm portrait I've seen so far), its a wow for me. Not sure what you were expecting that would make it a wow ?
I get some will still prefer the XM one, but this Storm IMO looks more comic accurate. Likely won't have a tornado, but won't have the issue of lean like XM's.

Fabric cape.
And even worse, the part of the cape that goes over the shoulder is made of resin.
Or is that a shoulder protection ?

She had always had those shoulder pads, Asgard. It is just one of the things that makes her Jim Lee look quite dated and unattractive. The cape attached under those and towards her back. It doesn’t attach at the “X” communication devices.

The shoulder pads are sculpted, exactly as they should be. They would look dumb as hell in fabric. Any one who is familiar with Storm's Jim Lee look would know this.

I actually like the shoulder pads and don't think they're too big to feel goofy in this application. It's a fun look.
I REALLY hope they gave her an exclusive portrait.

I'm sure they will, especially if the ES goes over a certain threshold or they get flooded with request.

Rouched arms, giant metal shoulder pads and a mullet. It’s a god damn wonder Storm had to be written so well - nobody would have loved her with such a poor fashion choice.
Where is StormLover. I want to hear his/her take? The Lee suit is their fave and it’s done justice here

Thanks for the information. I did not know that.
But I still don't like it.

I agree. I don't care if it's one edition like Cyclops, but there better be a second portrait (unlike Scarlet Witch who had no switch outs at all).
