I have this very same question. The only reason I got into the XM DC Rebirth series is because of the universal license and free shipping. If I knew they were going to charge shipping, I would’ve stuck with Tweeterhead.

I think part of the issue is XM boxes are so huge even for their 1/6 scale statues, when you open the box there is a lot of space between the pieces, they could redesign the boxes to be smaller which would help with shipping costs...
Plus shipping companies have just gotten greedy... with everyone stuck at home gas prices have dropped a lot so they can't use that to justify their price increases...

Not sure what state you're living in but gas prices have universally gone up as much as 50% at the pumps and been on a steady rise since late January. Shipping companies are desperate for more labor and lower fuel prices, it has nothing to do with being greedy.

Wondering if anyone has gotten him in yet. Ordered mine from Spec Fiction, but haven't recieved any updates. Have the Tweeterhead GL and am not 100% sure I want to keep my PO of the XM GL, esp. since he's more than double the price of Tweeterhead's.

I decided to get out of statues for good this time so I sold him, didn't bother to take him out of the box...
This hobby is just to expensive for what it is...
