There is talks of a definite edition since Midna did huge numbers....so those who aren't happy with the black base may get their wish....

Im guessing price will be around $425. There was talk about them wanting to keep the price near Saitama ($379)but its been a while since that preorder so I dont know if they can still go that low.
Alex said Spike would have no definitive edition. Not sure why, seems like it would have been a good idea. Would be awesome to have a definitive edition 4-character base like originally intended. Maybe with the others...
He will have a switchout though, I think they said its the bang hand.

Some people said the green shading is there. I havent seen it. Personally I dont think his hair is green, its just black. The green is just lighting/shading the animators used. Similar to how Superman is always shown with blue hair when its actually just black.

I always thought that he did have a tint of green in his hair which was on the canopy part of his hair, while the lower part was black. Its like he had two shades of hair color.
Now I've seen certain artist draw him with completely black hair, but I don't think it was so.

Always thought he had black hair.
More disappointed at how plain the pose is.

I’m pretty shocked the color of Spike’s hair is a debate, it’s clearly green. If Faye didn’t have natural blue hair and Ed with her natural clown colored orange I’d maybe buy into the “just shaded” argument. But as it stands they clearly live in a world where people can have some unnatural hair.

Theyre probably gonna address this on Friday. I’ve only ever thought it was black. Animated hair has to have at least 2 tones to show detail/depth and Spike’s has a super subtle contrast. If you look at a character like Deku from MHA theres a much sharper contrast. I would think Sunrise would have said something if it were the wrong color. This is actually my first time ever hearing people thought it was green lol.
Faye actually has three shades- black, mostly dark purple and light purple accents on the dark purple. Edward is light orange on dark orange or black. They pretty much hit what they were shooting at.

Hasn’t every Spike figure/figurine/statue released so far had black hair?
I have the Artfx Spike on my shelf and he has black hair.
