Ordered through Prime 1 as the piece wasn't ( still isn't) available through Sideshow.

The original quote for shipping was in line with what i have paid from Sideshow on my last 9 Prime 1 pieces.

Must be a huge piece. For Batman hush batcave it was like $130 economy and $210 roughly for strait.

I just checked and it's $391...like you say why the hell aren't they even informing customers of this price hike?

Also is it expected to last or is temporary?
This is Prime jacking up prices, not shipping couriers, so Prime really has people by the balls here. That's pretty shady to do at a time like this. I have been receiving and selling statues during this pandemic and haven't noticed any large price hikes in shipping from anyone else.

They will lower it when things get back to normal in a few months. it would be bad business if they did not because less people will buy.

Long term the cost of statues as a whole will go up as has been the trend for a long time now but the current price of shipping is temporary. This is not just affecting statue companies.

Good point. Don’t know why Prime 1 is trying to take a big dump on their customers.

This is definitely more sideshows style

Airshipping has actually been jacked up big time, it is not just P1.

This isn't going to ship for MONTHS - a foolish move on PRIME1's part.

Wonder if it's because EMS is temporarily restricted due to the pandemic. That leaves only DHL, which is technically also a "standard" method, but costs an arm and a leg. Could be an automatic adjustment by the website based on the best available option. If so, hopefully it comes back down when EMS lifts their restrictions.

I believe this as well. On Facebook someone posted a response from Prime 1 alluding to this being the case.
