In many respects this felt like a bridge series. I wouldn't call it filler, as there is a lot of characterization for Bucky and Sam. A lot hinges on if they show up in movie next or if the expectation is a second season in terms of pay offs for so much of what was set up.

Over all, I thought it was solid with a few surprises along the way, but didn't quite reach highest levels of MCU. Worth a watch about the discussion of legacy and history.

Just finished watching. Overall I enjoyed it and I agree it kind of feels like more of a bridge series to move the story forward for the movies. But I suppose you can say that about WandaVision as well.

I was really hoping for a longer final episode.

Too much cringe in the final episode. I would say about 3 out of 6 episodes were overall enjoyable. I only really cared for Buckys redemption and the old Caps moments.

Cringe?

I just felt let down by the antagonist. Flag Smashers were...not really memorable to me and Zemo barely got chance to shine. Why I am curious about the future.

I thought the series was good, but not great. 6.5/10 for me.

Final episode was a bit rushed compared to the rest of the season, I think 30 more minutes, maybe a little more, would have given time for each of the characters to have moments and breathe a bit.

Here's a break down of my thoughts
Spoiler

The Good: Sam's Cap suit. Bucky getting closure. Sam's Cap speech (as an American of multiple heritages what he said literally got me misty-eyed). The action sequences.

The Bad: How Sam and Bucky react to John walker, like everything is suddenly ok. Some dialogue, mostly from background characters. Not enough of Carly's view point at the end.

What I want to see come out of this series:
1. Sam Wilson: Captain America film, featuring Bucky
2. US Agent Disney+ Series
3. Thunderbolts
4. Sharon Carter to be featured in other series or films as The Power Broker.

Otherwise overall I loved this series, 8/10.

This show was way too woke for me. That was kind of expected.

I liked some aspects of it. I just kind of wish they had black superheroes without a storyline that centered around racism and being black. It’s like, ok...just be an awesome character. It’s always ok to sprinkle in a few messages here and there, but this shroud of race cloaks every black character in these movies and TV shows with the exception of War Machine.

I also took issue that the heroes were conflicted about the villain. It’s like, nope...she’s killing people. You can’t say “well, thats a grey area”. I think it sends a really bad message to say your crimes are forgivable if your cause is noble.

I think you're getting the wrong idea there. They weren't conflicted about stopping her, or for her paying for her crimes. They were conflicted about just killing her as Walker might have.

They were never going to "forgive" her crimes, however they didn't know if it was necessary to take her life.

People who use the phrase "woke" are using it in conservative talking points, correct?
