I really like that both Patty and Gunn came out to tell their side of the story. Lately Gunn's been on fire with debunking some of the more wild rumors so that's good.

Yes, the problem with today's meda landscape is that even traditional outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter resort to rumor-mongering. It's more impt to get things right than to be first.

Indeed. This morning a fake rumor about the Batman being in the DCEU got to live for about 2 hours before Gunn responded.

I think it is good that Gunn is shutting down the rumors right away. I can understand wanting to start totally fresh but I wonder if not using the current stars playing some of the DC characters is a mistake or not. Even if the movies in some cases were just average, a lot if the actors playing some of the DC characters were loved in those roles and maybe they deserve the chance to be in a movie better than what they were in the past.

Henry Cavill just posted that he's officially out as Superman. I really hope DC takes this as the opportunity for a complete reboot with a whole new cast.

Sucks about cavill as I loved MOS but I guess if I was ok with them dumping gadot to start fresh I have to be ok with this too. I hope they get it right this time

I love Cavill. He is fantastically hot, a good actor, and seems like a nice guy. Can’t help but root for him. He could be James Bond….just sayin.

That was my question as well. Doesn't seem like he would've quit The Witcher without Superman being a sure thing, so maybe his departure was due to something else.

One speculation is he left for the Superman role. Another is he left due to the disrespect the Witcher show runners and writers had toward the source material. I think it was a combination of both.
