Could the Surfer take the Destroyer?
Since Mak is still trying to fight the good fight in the Hulk vs Destroyer thread - he didn't want to answer this question in that thread - so what do you think?
Could the Silver Surfer take the Destroyer down?

Since the Hulk can beat the Destroyer, the Surfer could easily.

Again it would depend on who's inhabiting the armour however I believe the Surfer has more than enough variety in the Power Cosmic that he wields to defeat the Destroyer armour.

Does the Hullk have the brute force necessary to destroy the Destroyer. Prolly not.
Does the Surfer possess the raw cosmic power to destroy the Destroyer? Quite possibly.

Why does it matter WHO is inhabiting the armor - does the Destroyer take on all the powers of that person? I though it just had the powers of it's own.

Your right, it does have it's own abilities but these can vary depending on the inhabiting "spirit".

The trick with this (as well as vs the Hulk) is that the Destroyer armor is pretty much indestructable against anyone less powerful than full blown cosmic entity. The armor is supposed to be stronger than both Uru and Adamantium and has been infused with power from all of the ruling gods from the various Pantheons.
I think the Surfer could leave it drifting in space or throw it into a star or something to that effect, but I don't see him being able to literally destroy it or permanently defeat it.

I thought surfer could break down any physical object easily, so wouldn't the armer have the same fate! It's only armor for crying out loud.
Surfer would turn the indestructible armor into tinfoil, then wipe his ass with it!!
