The Best of DST Marvel

Well, now that the Marvel license is gone I thought it would be nice to see the "hits" from DST.

This Hulk, while many will argue there have been better from competitors, always impressed me by its size and the power it portrays in the sculpt.

Dracula, while it could have been a little closer to the classic look from the comics and done away with the nameplate, this is one impressive statue.

Its amazing what a huge difference a paint job can make in the impact a statue has. The regular version was almost forgetable, but this electroplated Iron Man truly stands out as one of my favorite DST pieces.

Three Hawkeye statues came out at around the same period, and this simple but well executed sculpt from DST may be the best of em.

I hadn't heard about them losing the license. Did they decide not to renew or did someone else beat them to it?

I always liked the DST Mephisto Bust.
Just wish it didn't have the blasted nameplate

DST's Dr. Doom was upstaged by Sideshow's own brilliant and intricate "throne" sculpt, but there is no denying that this is a nice statue.

It didn't happen too often but some of the DST busts were so perfect IMO, that I saw no reason for any other competitor to do their own versions.

Cloak and Dagger remain among my favorite busts of any company.

Another winner IMO was this Jean Grey, Black Queen MB that I spent way too much money on, but that I had to own.

For many of the same reasons I enjoy the Hulk statue posted above, I also like this redition of Venom. In fact, in my display I have them squaring off against each other.

My first DST was this Green Goblin. In fact, I had to buy it twice as the first one I bought came in smashed almost beyond recognition during shipping. I'm glad I was able to later replace it.

The series of four White Queen and Black Cat statues from DST are easily in my top ten sculpts from all companies. I like the Emmas so much, when I had the opportunity to get a third custom version of the statue I jumped on it!

*- Thanks for the pic P1X4R.
