I've seen several of these stories on bleeding cool before. They don't just blow over. Not sure why people are so insistent that it will just go away or the artist will get squashed other than you're hoping the statue doesn't get changed. Not saying that will happen, not at all. But as long as she can prove it was her art used for concept it won't simply go away.

What I'm not understanding is why Gwen's pose got changed from the cover in the first place. To me the original was just fine.

Legally I don’t believe she can force the license holder to make any change whatsoever. I believe it’s more a perception issue (bad press, especially because of social media etc) than a strictly legal one.

Wonderfest came and went and no sign of this Statue? Even though it was pictured in the countdown…disappointing.

Yeah it is disappointing. And they also said they'd reveal the Joker life size bust and Captain America half scale in May and June respectively. But hey at least we got 10 new Iron Man statues.

Can never have too many Iron Man statues. Just be glad they’re not doing the rest of the Iron Legion.

But I too can’t wait until they share their 1/2 scale and life size bust of Cap. As well as the new Loki and Tom Holland busts.

Disappointing for me, as well. They also didn't display the Vision bust, which is weird because I noticed it in the background of one photo, but it was half-covered.

Just seems they missed the mark at wonderfest. It was Amazing that things that just got revealed like the hulkbuster was there..but no Vision , no Iron Spider, and no Spider Trio …All which were teased and shown off way before any of the new Iron Man stuff, yet they are not even shown.
