There was also somebody who wanted over $1000 for the blue and yellow Hank Pym goliath statue. I was able to purchase that statue from Rockies vault years ago and I was very disappointed in it I just thought it was very dull and that was the one time where I prefer the mini bust to the statue. And that price that person was asking was from somebody in the United States not in a foreign country either. I do wonder how long they will leave that statue up there for that price.

How much did Bowen statues originally cost? Are they all 1/6 scale?

The statues started off at around $150 on average and when Bowen stopped I believe they were up to about $220 to maybe $240

The mini busts I think started off at $30 or $35 and I am not sure where they stopped at.

FS are generally 1/7 with some 1/8...some might be closer to 1/6. Busts are generally 1/8.

the earlier busts were a little smaller than the later busts. Alot of the later busts he did were pretty much half a statue where the earlier ones were just head and an armless torso

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

The latter ones (half-statues basically) went up to around $60-$80 depending on size.

Philintheblank is 100% correct. Randy has stated several times that his most of his statues are 1/7th scale, with some smaller than that (1/8th, 1/9th), but for some reason people say that they're 1/6th scale, which is **incorrect**. Bowen statues are said to be in "Bowen scale" because they have their own, odd scale (1/7th) that few companies use.

If Bowen's statues were 1/6th scale then his (male) statues would be over 12" tall without the base. A few examples: his Captain America and Silver Surfer statues measure just under 11" tall, whereas if they were 1/6th scale then it would have to be 12.5" tall (6'3" in 1/6th scale). His Cyclops and Iron man statues are 10.5" tall, which are way too small to be 1/6th scale.

If you were to place a true 1/6th scale statue (e.g., Tweeterhead's 1/6th scale statues) next to Bowen's statues, then you'd see a big difference in size. Bowen's statues are not 1/6th scale.

Bowen's Spiderman statue, where Spiderman is getting ready to jump from the top of a building, is probably 1/9th scale. That Spiderman statue is only 8"-9" tall standing upright.

Philintheblank is also correct about the mini-busts - they're smaller in scale than the statues, and are mostly around 1/8th scale.

StatueForum member Gothamite wrote a good post regarding scale (with pictures):

If you're still not convinced about scale of Bowen's statue, then the link below has scale conversion calculator, which allows you to calculate the scale yourself:

that is a very good comparison
It seems that only Hulk statues and possible Thor statues were the only ones that might be close to a 1/6th scale (Not counting any of the Goliath, Galactus or Sentinel statues which were produced in a larger scale due to the nature of those characters.)
