Gary's pics are the best we've seen, and normally i'm all about the closed mouth sculpt, but im not so crazy about the closed mouth head in these pics. Maybe it has to do with the angle...who knows. The only pics i've seen of it where it was OUT OF THIS WORLD was the first set of pics that had all of those filters on it. Others it looks good but i prefer the open mouth roaring head. It's phenomenal.

I might be weird, but if I ever get mine, it'll probably spend 95% of it's life with the Gort mask on.

I saved some bucks by ordering the reg, so I don't have much to choose. But I already have some ideas to make it slightly diff.
Just hope I don't receive one with black tooth or very dark crown. Sharp quills like your closed mouuth portrait would be nice..

Congrats! You'll love it. There's almost too much choice with the DX(if that's a thing).

I can explain the black tooth thing. The teeth are made of clear resin and painted darker towards the gum line. When viewed from certain angles, it makes them look much darker than how it should look.

From what I've seen, the crowns don't seem to be that much different. I'd just pay attention to making sure they're aligned correctly.

The quills are the same level of "sharpness" on both portraits. Some lean back a little more and appear to taper at the ends, due to perspective.

I love the Gort mask! I'll definitely display that one, but I love that the heads come with stands so I can leave them displayed with the statue and switch them whenever I want. Every statue with more than one HS should come with a stand for each.

Fair enough. I prefer Predators masked, I've always liked that original mask design. I love the movie mask also, but tbh it is undoubtedly a weak point on an otherwise great statue here so I probably won't use it too much. I have my SWS with that mask on anyway and it's much better on that statue.
