The art of Pascal Blanche | The Oracle (red) - art statue vs artwork

Staying loyal to the original artwork is probably the most important part of our work.

The transposition of the original art into a physical art statue is not only one of our biggest challenges; but it's also what makes us who we are!

As a digital artist, Pascal Blanche works in 3D (Zbrush, KeyShot, Photoshop, etc.) so the transfer feels more "natural" and straight forward than for 2D "analog" artists like Skinner, but it's always a tour de force.

There are a lot of subtleties which make it work, and this is where our experience as statue makers and our cofounder Hugues' incredible talent come into play.

Remember, we make everything ourselves in our own workshop, so House of Gog original art statues & statuettes are always 100% hands-on, from the early design work to prototyping and production.

This is a unique relationship with a direct connection between collectors and statue makers, who both share the same passion for collecting and love for art.

Our team has been working tirelessly to get most of it done before the Chinese New Year break. Although there is still work ahead, we are confident to be able to ship all preorders paid in full for Q2 2024.

The art of Pascal Blanch?

Pascal Blanch? is a world-class digital artist, known for his colorful illustrations inspired by memories of his 80's heroes Moebius, Druillet, Frazetta, Bisley, Corben and many others.

His illustrations have received numerous awards and have been published in books and magazines all around the world.

He currently works as principal art director at Behaviour Interactive.

Interesting looking piece. I can see the influence of H.R. Giger in it. Not sure how they justify the $1200 price tag.

Hi! Definitely has a H.R. Giger influence.

Regarding our price point, it is easily justified for multiple reasons, including the very low edition size, the scale, the sculpt, the high-craftmanship, the overall package (deluxe art box, art print, metallic card and certificate of authenticity), royalties, etc. and it is also hand-signed by the artist.

We have been making statues professionally for over 20 years so we are seasoned and experienced statue makers. We do very tight costing and the last thing we want to do is overcharge House of Gog collectors.

Our price point is fair and allows us to continue making these types of statues.

Now, everyone can have their own opinion about statues and their price point, we totally respect that, but know that if we were not selling directly to collectors like we do, and had a distribution business model (via 3rd parties), our statues would be almost twice as expensive!

That being said, we also made a smaller scale version at 325$ for those with a more limited budget and or shelf space.

Fellow House of Gog collectors,

The production for "The Oracle (red)" statue & statuette from the art of Pascal Blanche is now completed. Most of the units have been packaged and the rest are currently going through the last phase of quality control (QC).

We are currently still on schedule for shipping preorders in Q2 2024 around the end of May to early June 2024.

Reviewers & orders for Asia and Oceania will ship sooner directly from our workshop in Asia, and the rest of the inventory will be shipped via ocean freight to our warehouse in Canada (30-45 days transit time).
