Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

PCS - Mortal Kombat 9 Mixed Media Statue 1/3 Kitana

Decided to add this to my collection, to pair with PCS - Mortal Kombat 9 Mixed Media Statue 1/3 Milena

Back in the day i pre_ordered Kitana only to switch the order to Milena, as i thought Milena looked better, besides which i did not have the funds to buy both.

In person Kitana looks better than many photo's suggested, which suggested the silver/blue paint looked cheap. I can confirm, in person the blue looks deep. The silver looks.. silver!
..no wonky eyes. That said, the Kitana's portrait could use an eye paint upgrade to take it to another level. I will not be doing that.

Congratulations on Kitana.
I also have the Kitana and at some point Mileena will move in.
I saw the Kitana back then and bought it without knowing who it was. I just liked the statue

If you did not know who Kitana was, you could be mistaken for thinking she is some sort of exotic dancer..

Street Fighter V - Laura Matsuda 1:64 scale (3cm tall)

The way prices are shooting up, 1/3 1/4 and 1/6 scale are becoming out of reach for many collectors.
Not to mention the issue many have with space, lack of.. which is why i decided to collect 1:64 scale

I am joking.. i spotted this 3D printed Laura Matsuda on ebay going for next to nothing.
..and decided to pick it up simply to check it out. Far smaller than i expected it to be.

It is amazing to see so much detail in something so small. It would take a certain type of talent to paint it..

It might make sense to airbrush the skin areas and hand paint the rest.
The type of painters who paint mini lead figures might be ideal for this type of task.

Q. Why can't PCS offer this character in this pose at 1/4 scale? ..i doubt Capcom are holding them back?

NOTE: The jagged outer edge is caused by the laptop screen, is not present on the statue.
DISCLAIMER: I assume it is ok to post this on the forum, as it is simply a 3D print of a scale that does not tread on any toes.

Power Girl PF EX - Sideshow Collectibles

Power Girl arrived today! no.191/750 She looks very good

The white with blue shading cloud base design works well.
The white leotard, blue gloves, blue boots, and a red belt look good.
The gold belt buckle and cape pin could use more shine.
Skin tone on legs and upper body looks good.
No issues with attaching Power Girl to the base or attaching the red cape to Power Girl

The EX portrait looks good, her right eye is very slightly off.
The Reg portrait I am less sold on. Mine has slightly inward pointing eye's resulting in an oriental look. The paint on the teeth looks slightly transparent, which is disappointing. I will display my Power Girl with the EX portrait.
Both Reg and EX portraits feature great looking hair sculpt and paint. Both portraits are light in weight compared to other Sideshow Collectibles PF portraits in my collection.

I have read comments that complain about the portrait skin tone looking different to the rest of the statue (legs etc). The portrait skin paint looks brighter, which looks fine to me. Maybe Power Girl while powering through the clouds catching different levels of sunrays ;D

..and yes, I am aware the photo implies that the Reg portrait fails to fit correctly into the body. I tried again, and the Reg portrait fits correctly

Overall, I think it looks nice. Those teeth are not great though. I'd probably look to get that repainted.
