Hot Toys - Wonder Woman Deluxe Version from Justice League!
There has been a severe drought here of late, a statue drought that is. Hot Toys Wonder Woman
Deluxe arrived today, and it has helped bridge the gap until the next statue arrives
I took some photo's
(see above) although i wasn't feeling it, as the sun was low, and no matter
how i positioned Wonder Woman, the shadows were harsh. The 4 images above represent the
best of a bad shoot.
As to be expected from Hot Toys, the Gadot likeness is on point. This was one of the reason's i
decided to pick up this Hot Toy. My collection lacked a Wonder Woman
(it lacks a
Batman, Spider-Man, HULK also). The original plan was to pick up the 1/3 scale Training WW from Prime 1
For one reason or another, i couldn't pull the trigger
(now that i have seen in hand photo's, the piece
appears to big for 1/3 scale). My next choice was the Sideshow WW
(Jennifer Aniston) but again i decided to
pass, as the in hand images revealed a portrait paint app that failed to match the prototype.
The Hot Toys WW Deluxe represents my 1st Hot Toy to feature a silicone rubber body. I'm not too
sure what to make of it. One bonus is there are no visible joins on the elbows or knees. Attaching
detaching the hands is made more difficult by the silicone rubber, as it is difficult to grip, as there
is a sense it could damage easily. Skin tone appears to look darker compared to the official H.Toys
images. The figure ships with a ton of accessories. The Deluxe ships with a black colored hooded
robe. To be honest i left that in the box, as it's fiddly to fit. Fitting the dark brown colored leather-
like cross-body belt was fiddly, WW hair is fiddly, the last thing i wanted to deal with was a robe. In
the end, i decided to go with the sword & shield look.
