Only if there are enough people that make horrible decisions.

Seems like NZMint is the Prime 1 of the coin collecting universe. Some of their coins go for $2900...

Not my cup of tea but learned something new...

I could see it if they actually got a sculptor to do a nice relief on one side of the coin but that's just them printing comic art on one side and making them "limited" to jack up the price.

I think Joe Menna, who sculpts for Sideshow on occassion and did a lot of work for DC Direct, sculpts for the Franklin mint, have him do some cool coin designs, that might actually make it worth it.

The title of this thread is misleading bc I thought Sideshow was creating these. They are not. They are just an avenue for collectors to purchase the coins that are produced by New Zealand Mint.

As such, yes, I can see these sticking around bc it’s another company producing the item. A company whose business is coins.

These are collectibles. The amount of precious metals versus the price keeps this from being an investment. $110 for $28 of silver. And that’s the spot price and what not NZ Mint pays for silver. The value will be based primarily on the collectibility but will not be worth less than the spot price. The few NZ Mint Force Awakens coins I bought will most likely will never been worth the $85 each I paid for them.

I personally love NZ Mint's silver coin comic book collectibles!

I'm also a silver stacker for generic bullion.

I don't expect these to ever be worth spot (although that would be cool but also scary if inflation hits that high!)

I collect these for my own enjoyment and satisfaction. While they're not high-relief sculpted coins, the prints are super vivid and high quality. They do offer some sculpted Starwars coins, but nothing Marvel yet. They just did a Choibi DC Batman coin that is pretty cool. So hopefully we start to see other types of sculpted variants & not just Choibi style. But they have a ton of cool stuff, including a bunch of silver foils I've recently picked up as well.

Another one I just ordered a bunch from CrownMint.com too. They have some really cool coins and foils. I picked up the large Marvel foil they have and it's about the size of a comic book, it's super cool!

If you want sculpted Marvel, these are super awesome and come with a really cool silver COA foil too:

That must be a joke, SSC wants $46 CAD or $34 USD to ship this to Canada? Not worth the price and prints resale better than coins.
