HT Ironman collection? Which ones?!
So I’ve tried to stay away from collecting these HT figures forever....haha....but looking at this collection I’m inspired!
https://www.sideshow.com/blog/sidesh...r-dio-ortigas/
If I wanted to do something like this, but focus solely on Ironman armors, does anybody have a list of all the HT options?
Which armors do you think might be “essential” to get started? I’m sure I can get pretty crazy collecting them all. There are probably dozens of these? I’m sure there a collectors out there doing this?
Any advice or ideas/inspiration would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Hot toys has been revisiting a lot of their old Iron Man figures so you may be in luck, otherwise you're looking at over paying on eBay. I'm pretty sure there are over 50 Hot Toys Iron Man figures to date, some of them revisits, so I wouldn't recommend collecting them all unless you have the money to do it.
Personally I'd only collect the classic red and gold suits, or suits that Tony wore himself in the films. Top suits I'd recommend (and I don't know how each is labeled) would be
Iron Man 1
Iron Man 2 (both the suitcase armour and new armour)
Avengers
Avengers Age of Ultron
Civil War (Mk 46, very sought after)
Spiderman Homecoming
Infinity War
Endgame
That gets you 9, and they're probably the most recognizable of the bunch.

I have the Mk 3 diecast and Mk 85 diecast, first and last red/gold MCU Iron Man suits.
The Hulkbuster is also a great addition. It will be costly to get older diecast Iron Man. Just get the designs that look best too you. Diecast are much preferable to the plastic versions. Check with ones are on preorder or available for sale now.
You can see all that Hot Toys made by checking their website.

Thanks for the advice! These ideas helped!
These are the armors I really love. I think these represent IM across the films pretty well.
Mark 1 (Iron Man) not die cast?
Mark 3 (Iron Man) die cast?
Mark 5 (Iron Man 2) die cast?
Mark VII (Avengers) die cast YES
Mark XLIII (Age of Ultron) die cast YES
Hulk buster (Age of Ultron) die cast?
Mark 46 XLVI (Civil War) die cast YES
Mark L (Infinity War) die cast YES
Mark LXXXV Battle Damaged (Endgame) die cast YES
I really like the Mark 2 (Iron Man) and the War Machine armor is a nice visual change, although not worn by Tony.
I see that many of these are available at SS right now...but DAMN they pricey! Haha
Looks like I’d have to get the Mk1, Mk3 and Civil War armor on eBay?

Again they may revisit those. People have been begging for another Civil War Iron Man I know that, and they already reissued the Homecoming suit which is basically the Mk 46 but with a different paint job. The Mk 1 has only had the one release to my knowledge so I can see them revisiting that one too, seeing as how they recently made a Tony Stark test version from the first film.
Sideshow does have the Mk 3 Iron Man in 1/4 scale, if that's something you're interested. Personally I'd probably get that and not worry about the others.

Like others have said, HT loves to reissue their figures. Especially their biggest money maker, Iron Man. I believe the Mk 3 was criticized for being too small though. So I imagine most would want a completely new figure for that one. Like Bottled_Water said, the 46 will likely get reissued at some point considering they recently reissued the Homecoming repaint.
If you're interested in getting the AoU 43 let me know. I currently have mine listed for sale on a couple of other boards. Space is an issue so I had to let a bunch of the IM armors go.
