I have the Optimus and really like it. The first Soundwave looked great but I unfortunately didn’t get. I think the art direction with Soundwave was the way to go. I wish they would have done Optimus this way but again I still think he looks great. There is heft to him but I see where they added a lot of vinyl pieces which is ok but I wouldn’t want anymore which is why I probably wouldn’t get Megatron.

I'll add this is a me issue. If you like this line you like it. It's a great time to be a TF fan, especially if you love Optimus. I think the line was a great idea, a lot of the pieces are worth it if you like the character. Having purchased every one from the start I can see the point A to point B decline. That's on IA though. Because of all this I'm conflicted about the PCS line due to all the different sizes.

My opinion they should have gone the Tweeterhead route. Just do the 12 inch statues like the Super Powers line and be done with it. Less material costs, less design time, less bogging down the factories and at least everyone's favorite lesser known characters would get made. Plus they fit in detolfs.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

i don't see any big sales? only optimus 10% off and the small scale ironhide for 20%. I can buy them much cheaper on ebay, especially with their frequent 10% coupon.

they been trying to unload those IA pieces forever

Not a big sale, just a sale.

By all means, ebay away!

I think these pieces look great but the prices do not reflect the actual demand, what consumers are really willing to spend, and most of all, who really has the space for these things.

I am keeping an eye for the fire sale though.

Doesn't look good for the future of the line......

As I have written I have watched DS,HH, F4F do TF statues, DS, HH did decent, but F4F just did 2 statues. The F4F were 11 inch statues and were $80.00, their Dioramas were $150.00. They couldn't get enough sales to keep line going. Compare that with 12 to 15 inch statues at $400.00 today. Palisades Devastator in 2005 was 18 inches and $200.00,compare that with $1,200 18 inch statues today. With how much statues are today just ruins statues
lines like TF, Joes, Robotech

Thing is IA sells their stock, so BBTS gets 10-20 of each statues but can't sell them in biggest market in the world.

10-12 years ago I use to buy Gentle Giant Star Wars maquettes at $40.00-$50.00 and would buy just about any they made, but today at $170.00, no thanks

I wonder if just the large scale will die off or if they will kill both sizes.
