Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I apologize for a necroposting. But right now there is a chance for me to buy EX version for roughly 500$.
The seller lives in another city. Provided photos - seems like either the statue was never unboxed or carefully re-packed.

As I understood EX were more likely to be affected by paint cracking. So if I pull the trigger - it seems that will have to apply for a professional re-painting.

Does anybody still have the statue in their collection?
If so - how did it fare up to now? Did you have to apply for a professional customization?

Thank you.

If you get this I would buy it with the understanding you will have to have it repainted, because it either already has issues or will eventually happen

The paint cracking appeared very early after it was shipped out but if you received a replacement body, the paint never cracked (in my experience)

Yup if it hasn't cracked yet it should be fine. The buyer could've received a replacement body. If there aren't any cracks on it by now it should be fine.

This is the one with the X base, not the newer PF, right?

Yup this is the first Sideshow Psylocke PF. X-base and riddled with problems back in the day.

Maybe you guys are right, I thought I had heard of someone’s cracking after being ok for years but maybe they just hadn’t noticed or I misunderstood

Funny enough I own two of these. A Marvel sample and a production exclusive.

The Marvel sample has way better paint application, but the paint cracked. Th exclusive has no cracking, but the paint layers look flat.

Kind of a shame they couldn't get the paint squared away in the first place, since I display neither of them.
