I call BS on the trilogy curse theres lots of good ones.

Should be interesting to see what everyones favorite trilogies are now that Batman is done

1.LOTR
2.Batman
3.The Man with No name

Star wars and Godfather don't make it because the third installations had some hiccups

TMwNN is a great addition.

Ugh... should we list some that might have been forgotten? This list is from memory, though I'm sure one of you Momos is going to go copy/paste one from the 'net... cheater.

Bourne Trilogy
Batman (Nolan) Trilogy
Star Wars (TOS and the recent mess) Trilogy
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Underworld Trilogy (fourth one barely ties into first three)
Raiders of the Lost Ark Trilogy (f#ck the fourth one)
Blade Trilogy
X-Men Trilogy
Spider-Man (Raimi) Trilogy
The Man with No Name Trilogy
Chronicles of Narnia Trilogy
Toy Story Trilogy
The Godfather Trilogy
Ocean's 11 Trilogy
Die Hard Trilogy (f#ck the fourth one)
Terminator Trilogy (see above)
Rambo Trilogy (Rocky's recent film.. the fifth in the series... makes it so it has at least FOUR great films to the franchise, negating its inclusion)
Jaws Trilogy
Evil Dead Trilogy
Matrix Trilogy
Pirates of the Carribean Trilogy

That's all that comes to mind immediately.

For me, in no particular order:
  • The Lord of the Rings
  • Star Wars
  • The Dark Knight
This was actually a tough decision for me. The first two picks were easy, but that third one.... man that was tough. I couldn't decide between Dark Knight, Indiana Jones, and the Matrix trilogy. Since Indy technically had a fourth I told myself I didn't have worry about including that one. Now it was just TDK and the Matrix. I think I have more of a personal connection to the Matrix trilogy, but in the end I think I had to choose the superior films.

I didn't include Superman and Mission Impossible because they technically weren't trilogies (great films though).

Really tough cutting it down to just three.

Lord Of The Rings
Star Wars
Back To The Future

Very close was Toy Story, just introducing this to my daughter now, so much fun!

Jurassic Park was also just pipped, LOVED this movies when they came out, was incredible to see Dinosaurs look so real on the screen!
