Need help Canon fans

Best buy has the EOS XSI on sale this week for $499.99 but with canon start bundle it's $579.99. I like photography and I think it will be a great hobby but pumping any more than $600 into this camera would make me cringe.
My question for you all is, do you think I should wait for the Ti1 to go down in price or go ahead and jump on this one since it is a great camera (from the reviews I have seen.).

The XSI is a fine camera, it's what I used to shoot on prior to upgrading to the 60D.

The XSI is plenty of camera for someone who's just starting out. I'm a beginner myself, bought mine probably about a year ago, and I've barely scratched the surface of what it's capable of.
