Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Thumbs down

Newsflash: The Lakers organization will soon hit Mr. Paul Moore with a lawsuit
requesting royalties from his custom painted Laker Girl statue! (kidding of course)

Seriously though - if YKC bought the statue with his own money, it is his own
personal property to do with as he chooses. While I agree that YKC's initial
post was definitely ill worded in some areas (nobody, but nobody is on the
same level as Mr. Clayburn Moore IMHO) there was absolutely no reason for
newbie username001 to barge onto the forum and begin leveling insults at
YKC in public here for all to see.

In the final analysis username001, you appear to be a very rude individual who
should keep personal insults to yourself if you want to try and make a valid point.
To use your own words: It's totally OUT of ORDER

I don't think it matters how many posts someone has, like Monster said if they have a point thats great.
Could it have been done without insults, yes of course but I think after the last auction by YKC of Poison Ivy (IMO very poorly done) and then coming on here and poorly wording a post and making it sound like he was on the same "skill level" as Moore how exactly was YKC not to expect someone to say something?

My concern wasn't the post count per say but that this guy is new here and comes on to the board full of anger, insults, and rage. Not the way to get your point across or make an impression.

And yourkillercustoms putting himself on par with Clay is an inaccurate and overblown argument. He is an artist. Same level? No way but talented and an artist none the less.

His post wasn't to glorify himself but rather to say to Clay that he is a fan of his work and that he hopes he doesn't mind that he take his own artistic impression and alters it.

Who cares? Let these two fight it out. I just want to hear Moore's opinion on the whole matter.

It's amazing to me that you simply don't get it - Because it's Marvel or DC or anything else for that matter it's perfectly okay to STEAL from them. (You really need to look into copyright laws.) Most of the people on this thread believe that it is okay to STEAL (LOL) The fact that you think it is okay to STEAL basically says a lot about you and the others.

I'm a graphic designer and photographer and I have had problems with copyrights in the past. People who steal like "YourKillERCusts" disgust me. Why should HE profit from the backs of others. I think I was rarther NICE to him in the post to be honest. I'm clad to see some people on the forum believe it's wrong and we should NOT lower ourselves to believe that this type of behaviour is socially acceptable.

Regarding Laker girl:

It's a gift - BG DIFFERENCE. Read QUOTE

"I just thought you all might like to see this customized Fathom statue I did as a late Christmas gift for my nephew. He's been a Laker fan for the last 30 years or so."

My post of Mr. Paul Moore's Laker girl paintjob was in jest. I know it was a
gift for his nephew, but if you want to be "technically" correct, it still uses
a trademarked/licensed name and logo that isn't his.

My issue isn't so much with your points about trademark and infringement
and whatnot - it is about your delivery method, and personal insults.
To put it as bluntly as you would (and have) you come across like a jerk,
and you'd get a lot further with any point you're trying to make by being
at least a little bit tactful and polite.
