New Lense

I am thinking about purchasing a telephoto lense. Futureshop has some on sale until tomorrow. I have been considering the Canon EF70-300mm f/4,0-5.6 IS or the Canon EF70-200mm f/4l. They are about the same price. I know many of the photography forums seem to prefer the 200mm but I am really an amateur phtographer and am leaning towards the extra zoom.

Every lens is different and has it's pros and cons, it all depends on your needs.
