I like it!
The only criticism I have is that his facial expression.
It looks like he is getting shot. and the shield also can be more round as this one looks a little bit like a garbage can lid.
Good work though

Awesome! I'd make the shield larger and more disk shaped, rather than flat with edges. From where it is now I'd have it come down slightly below his knee, leaving the top where it is.

I agree on the facial expression as well. Less like he's surprised or in pain, more intense or driven.
