This has been my favorite statue for sometime now, and that would be my only quibble with this Iconic statue.

I don't know War. Maybe I'm biased but I still prefer the Frazetta faces on the original. The girl in the original statue seems more exotic and mysterious....and the sunken cheeks of Conan on the statue give more an appearance of leanness and perhaps ferocity with more distinctiveness. The girls feet? Not for me in that way. Maybe I'm just too used to and like the original so much..?
Interesting to see tho. Thank you.

I am in total agreement with you, I just thought it was interesting how they rendered him based on Frazetta's vision, I personally think its a little funky looking in places.
I also thought it was cool that other people besides me think the chain in the painting does lead to his right hand, the chain on Frazetta/Moore's Barbarian A/P connects to the belt area and straight into the ground.

For me personally this image of conan is so iconic that anything else just looks weird.
PS: links are not working for me.

It can still be found occasionally. But, it seems that most owners don't want to let it go. I know I don't!
