As long as ES is right I'll be getting this. SS has been letting me down with their female statues lately & I am actually impressed with this one. Fabric looks good to me.

Yeah it’s a total non issue for a lot of collectors nowadays.
If they could make them easily fixable, or offer spares I would love to have them light up, but otherwise I’m fine without them.

Or just not make the electronics out of the cheapest garbage to begin with..... Nowadays LED's couldn't be easier... you have to TRY to make it so bad that it "breaks" on a static application.

Exactly. This is not an excuse Sideshow should use and be allowed to get away with.
That said, I haven't had any electronics fail, and light-up sabers are a must for me. Seems to me you could offer them both ways at the very least, with the light-up costing a little more.

Was Moff Gideon's darksaber light up feature advertised when he went up for PO? If not, maybe this is a similar situation?

I don't think so (not 100% sure). Though, if not, that seems to be Sideshow's modus operandi. That WAS the case with Darth Maul PF - I know. They claimed that they wouldn't know for sure until the factory produced some samples, as to whether light-up was feasible. It usually is, but fans have to be vocal about it every time, it seems, to ensure it happens.
