I'm having trouble getting through Gunpowder Milkshake--only made it through about 10 minutes so far. Hopefully it gets better because I like the cast, but I don't like that the first two gun fights weren't even shown to the audience. Makes me wonder how much action is actually in the film.
The Tomorrow War - 7.5/10 (better than I thought it would be)
Fighting with my Family - 8/10 (another great Pugh performance)
Dunkirk - 8.5/10 (pretty gripping)
As you can probably tell, I had a long plane flight
I went in with very low expectations and found a more entertaining movie than I expected. You won't find much in the way of originality here, it borrows heavily from several other movies and contains many standard action movie cliches. But it is done competently with a decent cast, and ultimately I found it pretty enjoyable. Worth a watch if you have 2hrs with nothing better to do.
