I would say that this production piece came out as good as anyone could probably hope for. I'm not sure even JND could drastically improve upon this.

No idea.
But from the looks of it, other than trying to see it works, I'll probably never switch on the light for the stone. The base lights are more than sufficient.
Though to be honest I was expecting some button cell battery anyway, which would have led to the same result. As not many manufacturers would bother to run wires all the way through the body to a loosely held weapon to light up a single small light source. But given that there's all that fabric, it might not be too hard to customise.
