It's funny how this is one of those shows that got better as it went along. It's almost always the opposite. The writers were likely thinking, "If no one is watching, we might as well stop trying to copy Next Gen wholesomeness and tell the stories we really want to tell". They were right.

They were one of the first to skip the stand-alone episodes and made it into one big story.

I prefer Babylon 5 infinitely more, it's better in most ways imo. However I do still like DS9 and need to give it a run through again myself at some point. I did Voyager and TNG this year, DS9 is the next logical choice. Although I never could get into Enterprise. I keep meaning to give that another try also...

What We Do in the Shadows - Season 1
Not quite as good as the movie when the premise is expanded over the length of a TV series, but still very funny--and worth watching for episode seven featuring a vampiric council consisting of guest stars reprising their past vampire characters (Tilda Swinton and Evan Rachel Wood being the most notable). 8/10

The Deuce - Season 3
This was a consistently excellent series which ended beautifully. The last scene in the finale admittedly left me a little misty. 10/10
