Iron Studios: DC Comics 1:10 Scale Statues

It's the wings & base that pushed this price up, still doesn't justify the price though. But whenever I see an elaborate base for a 1/10, I just know IS is putting a high price on that piece. I reckon the Superman 1/10 will be equal to this pricing or more.

Although I agree pricing for IS is high these days, it's pretty much the "normal" for them. Not sure if they increased their 1/10 prices because they started doing 1/6 and 1/3 pieces, and needed to "justify" that all their lines pricing follows a certain model?

Who knows. I will say this. YES Iron Studios 1/10 statues used to be $75, $85, $99, $105 TOPS, but MOST of them were old school style on the black generic base. I'm guessing they are jacking up the pricing due to having elaborate bases now. Not too sure I would say the new bases justify a $100 + increase in pricing, but there is people who will buy them. The new X-Men Magneto is $250. I expect the new Juggie X-Men exclusive once Sideshow gets him to be ATLEAST $250, if not more.

Part of me also thinks they are just using either interest in pre-order announcements or other companies "hot" pieces to justify their costs which would be dumb on their part. They should be consistent.

There are plenty of pieces with "reasonable" pricing. New Pfeifer Catwoman - $129.99. Same with the new Endgame Captain Marvel. But then you have the new WW84 Golden Armor for $199.99, but this has pretty huge wings as well. Heck even the new Odin piece where he is sitting on a damn throne is less at $189.99, and I would argue there is more sculpting and detail in Odin than in Hawkgirl.

I love the Hawkgirl, but $250 plus tax and shipping on this size = NO BUY

They're going to price themselves out of the 1/10 market. I really wanted to get Hawkgirl but at that price, I will wait for Tweeterhead to make one at about the same price.

Despite the bad pricing, I'm still buying this piece cuz I've been waiting for a Hawkgirl in either 1/10 or 1/6 scale. And this Hawkgirl looks amazing. She's one of the few characters I'd justify paying extra for (as long as it looks great) others being Quicksilver, Cyclops, Zatanna & Green Arrow, for me. Wouldn't ever go for other characters above 180 though at 1/10.

I was def planning on getting Hawkgirl but the price really turned me off. I also wanted Aquaman so I’m hoping that it’s not the same.

I have Manhunter coming and can’t imagine why these would be 100 more. The wings are nice but not that nice.

See this is it right here. Not judging you Jackal, as I would pay exuberant prices for statues of my favorite characters as well if they looked this good, but I'm sure there are plenty of people like you that will just bite the bullet and make the purchase, thus justifying to IS that they can continue to charge these prices.

And now honestly since my last post and looking around at other pricing of IS statues, this really should NOT be more than like $179.99 if they were going to push it. This has no right being over $200. After tax & shipping you are going to be paying closer to $300, which is crazy money for 1/10.
