Thank you.

Yes, that is also my understanding of it.
But I keep reading that the STL file is e.g. for a 1/6 statue. I never understood that, which is why I asked the expert in the Man-Cave

That just means the sculptor created it in that size.
I have some STL files and they are sized for 1/4 scale. I'll post a couple pics to show you.

You can see here I've imported the heads from 2 different models. Iron Man is designed in 1/4 scale, Batman is ~ 1/8. I could upscale the Batman model, I'm only limited by by whatever the largest piece is (in this case the base) and how big I make it relative to my print area. Alternatively, I could cut the base in half to allow more upscaling....I haven't learned that one yet, but I need to...the Iron Man base is a little too big & to make it fit I have to downscale it to about 85%...which means all the other parts have to downscale too.

Red means it's out of the printer bed range:

All the parts are printed, just need to prep the base a bit and then it's ready to go to primer. I printed the base hollow so it gets filled with Durham Water Putty for weight.

Looks good , cant wait to see it. Everyone needs to have Durham at the house, so many uses, good stuff. About to use some on my door conversion project.

Thank you for the detailed information
That makes a printer really interesting.
There are so many beautiful "STL files", especially fantasy characters, that I would like.
