Deliver the statues yourself or chalk the loses up to doing business.

Think companies don't get scammed?

This.

I currently have some items on ebay right now. I wasnt really ready to sell them off but figured it was better to do it now rather than later.

BTW.. I discourage deadbeat behavior by doing things like " more coming soon" and making sure highly sought after or really nice pieces are "accidently photograpged" in the background and the like. So far I haven't had any problems.

This isn't so much an eBay problem as it is a shipping problem.

Don't ship statues! Too frail!

Selling statues is the worst thing about this hobby. I consider all my statues worthless like a pair of old shoes worn in. Money spent money gone. No stress and no long pre order fomo lists. I barelly buy one piece a year now . Remember having a spreadsheet to keep track of my preorders .

Not sure about other countries but in the Uk, insurance is pretty pointless as fragile items are not covered.

That's how I treat mine. If I don't want something any longer I simply gift it to a friend or nephew of mine. I'm done with selling on the secondary market.

Once you eliminate FOMO, you don't care how many Predator or Iron Man pieces you miss out on because there's always something else better on the horizon.
