I guess other pics didn?t do this justice. Gary?s photos make me regret passing. The paint looks really good.

A couple of comparisons between Sideshow and QS.

Interesting, thanks. And I'll toss in a movie still for further comparison. Both are nice options. One detail that caught me when I first saw the QS MK7 is the bendy coiled knee material (especially on the right leg) is more exposed and visible than on many other MK7 pieces, which I really dig.

One detail I noticed is the arm connections are wrapped in felt...provides a nice gentle fit when attaching. Any other companies do this?

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I didn't realize the knee "cover" in red on the SS piece was not correct or that the chest repulsor was too large. QS got those right. Also, the QS paint looks much better and more accurate in terms of both shade and matte metallic finish.

Sideshow crushes it on the light up feature though.

I love both pieces though and I think they both have positives and negatives, so you can't go wrong with either.

The general detail to the QS is far superior to the SS piece as well.

I'm not a big fan of the gold on my QS piece (especially on the faceplate). Looks l almost silver from some angles.

SS is so inaccurate, it's almost laughable.

The faceplate prongs are totally wrong, and they're missing screws.

Plain white arc reactor.

Red 'kneecaps' are attached to the wrong piece! They should be attached to the thigh, not the shin. As mentioned - they don't expose the silver coils correctly.

Below the silver 'n' on his shoulders, are additional pieces SS painted silver, when they should be red.

And of course the paint color and sheen are wrong.

Reloaded this guy with fresh batteries today. I've found that the arc reactor stays at least at a medium brightness for 2 weeks of constant use, not bad. But the eyes and repulsors get fairly dim after 3 days.

What's "constant use" in your context? 24/7??
