It's unfortunate but I'm in the same boat. I also like the statues I have on display to focus on the character. This statue has far too much going on with all of the effects that I think it detracts from the character.

A lot of anime statues are like that.

Because in general since they have to animate them their design (while flash and eye catching) is generally pretty simple. And in anime they use a lot of cool moves with a lot of effects which are pretty signature to those characters so it makes for a great statue, especially when they are that size. I thoroughly appreciate it and think it looks fantastic when done well.

For me it is the better Goku statue so far. This is the rare kind of statue that I wouldn't change a single thing on it. Really impressive! Loved everything about it.

with the High edition size my only query is what will the production piece actually end up looking like. Does anyone have any examples of prior Prime 1 pieces with as High an edition size as this? Also can they comment on the actual quality of the production piece in the end? Cheers

Honestly, I think this is the first time I seen Prime 1 Make an Edition size this Large. No doubt I think production qc will take a hit because of it.

just bit the bullet and put in all the money upfront for this piece on spec-fiction. Even with such a high ES I have this cloying feeling in the back of my threat that makes me think I will miss out on the piece if I don't preorder this. I'm optimistic and hope the high edition size will not lead to a low quality paint application.

For real! I was about to preorder it then I noticed the rock on Goku's butt. Even though I know it's probably going to be a grail Goku statue, I just can't unsee the butt rock.
