Finally getting around to the Netflix Marvel shows. Decided to start with The Punisher. Parts were good, but too much of it came across as needless exposition or characters acting ridiculously stupid.
13 episodes each season - way too many. Should have been 5 or 6.
My biggest issue was the characterization of Frank Castle. Did not care for. He reminded me more of a what-if Rocky Balboa lost his family to violence.
Season 1: 6/10
Season 2: 4/10

Archive 81 - 8/10
Very cool horror/mystery, has some elements of Hereditary, Blair Witch, and The Ring...hoping a Season 2 gets greenlit.

we just finished it too, I would probably give it the same rating. Liked the concept and the pace of the series. Also hoping for a second season, seems to be plenty of material still there to work with.

Agreed, Taylor Sheridan is killing it with his shows right now...Yellowstone, 1883, Mayor Of Kingstown, and more on the way.

Didn't realize Mayor of Kingstown was by the same guy. We finished that this weekend. Pretty good show too.

Sheridan is developing a show called “Kansas City”. About a retired mobster who settles down there. Stallone is in talks to play the main character.

Wow, hadn't heard about Kansas City, very cool. I know there is a 2nd Yellowstone spinoff in the works that will take place at the 6666 ranch, so I'm guessing the character Jimmy will be a part of that.
