Interesting, since XM being a smaller ES get alot of hype from XM hardcore fans. I'm for whoever does the better job, for me it tends to be SS, but XM has some awesome pieces, but sometimes both are a miss or equally just ok.

Which is a bummer, I mean at this point 12 days or SDCC or NYCC is a good event if you get 1-2 things on your list. But now and then something not on your list wow's you on how well it turned out.

I haven't had access to a regular shop for years. Current one is a tiny one in the city and they don't have the space for anything like PF boxes.

Might check out some shops in the suburbs, statues are probably more likely out in Northern Virginia.
